Our Programs

A Bright Beginning Childcare Centre—including A Bright Beginning Roy Bickell and A Bright Beginning École Montrose—are all fully licensed by the Government of Alberta. We are committed to providing:

• A Learning Through Play Environment based on the Flight Curriculum
• Nutritional Onsite Food Preparation
• Enhanced Child-to-Educator Ratios

Our main location (Avondale) features seven spacious classrooms designed to foster an engaging learning atmosphere.

EARLY YEARS PROGRAM:

Accepting children aged 12 months to 5 years (prior to kindergarten), we offer both full-time and part-time spaces (part-time spaces contingent upon the availability of another part-time child to offset hours in care.)

 Available at Avondale Location Only.

• Baby Bugs & Tiny Bears (12-23 months): Licensed for 8 children with a minimum of 2 educators.
• Tumbling Tots & Mighty Tots (19-36 months): Licensed for 12 children with a minimum of 2 educators, supplemented by a third educator for enhanced care.
• Mighty Explorers (3-4 years): Licensed for 16 children with at least 2 educators, currently staffed with 3 permanent educators for enhanced care.
• Super Seeking Seniors (4-5 years): Licensed for 20 children with a minimum of 2 educators, also currently staffed with 3 permanent educators.

   

  SCHOOL AGE PROGRAMS:

  We cater to children in kindergarten and those aged 5-9. Additionally, A Bright Beginning École Montrose offers 9 pre-kindergarten spaces for 4-year-olds enrolled in the preschool program.

  A Bright Beginning Avondale:

  • ABC Busy Bee School Age Program: Licensed for 22 spaces with at least 2 educators, plus an additional educator available during non-school days, including Easter, Christmas breaks, and summer programs.

  A Bright Beginning Roy Bickell:

  • Creative Cubs Classroom: Licensed for 24 children with 2 educators to maintain ratios, with extra staff provided for opening, closing, and coverage during breaks, sick days, and professional development days.

  A Bright Beginning École Montrose:

  • Features two classrooms: one for before-and-after school care and another for kindergarteners—Mountain Movers and Active Adventurers. This program is licensed for 50 children and includes the required number of educators on-site, with additional staff for breaks, professional development days, and sick leave.
